Backyard Session Videos and an Upcoming Show

We had a fun (though hot!) video and photo shoot in Jessie's backyard last weekend! Here's a take of Headed for Heartbreak, with more videos coming soon!

And! We'll be playing a short set at a Bernal Yoga Salon on Sunday, June 23rd, 7:30 pm. Bernal Yoga (located at 908 Cortland Ave. at Folsom, in Bernal Heights, San Francisco) has a vibrant community, with monthly salons made up of live music, talks, author events and poetry readings. The salon, curated by two of our favorite ladies - Ann Lam and Megan Windeler - is free and all ages (donations welcome). There will be no actual yoga taught during the salon, but do be prepared to kick off your shoes and lounge around on cushions while we lull you with lush harmonies and stringy strumming. There WILL be wine, tea, and surprise guests. If you're looking to start a practice, check out Bernal Yoga's smashing array of teachers and classes.

We hope to see you there!

As always, you can like us on Facebook, watch us on YouTube, and subscribe to receive posts about upcoming shows via email (this page, upper right).

XO,
The Belles

Videos from High Street Station Cafe, March 30th

Thanks to everyone who came out to High Street Station Cafe! We had a super fun show with Billy and the Lowdowns, and also had the pleasure of working with the nicest sound guy ever (thanks, Mick!). Here are a few favorites from the show:

Little Black Dress: An ode to the anytime, anywhere wardrobe workhorse, by Jessie.

Drive: A teenage diva begs her mom to let her drive. Lyrics by Jessie.

Baking Blues: A love song and cautionary tale about baking without your sugar.

Maxed Out (My Sugar Daddy): Cierra warns us of the perils of compulsive shopping.

Headed for Heartbreak: throwing caution to the wind in the arena of l'amour.

Think Twice: A song about Jessie's least favorite pastime - dating.

Honey Bee: Is the honey worth the sting? Is this love, or just pollination? This song asks these and other probing questions. (Thanks to David Wagner for planting the seed for this song!)

Bei Mir Bist Du Schon: The Andrew Sisters classic, done Belles style.

Thanks for watching! Be sure to catch us this Saturday at Access to Adventure.
